Sandpaper Letters

The purpose of Sandpaper Letters is to help your child learn the phonetic sound of each letter. They will be associating the sounds of speech with their written symbols by tracing the shape of the letter. The letters are made of sandpaper which allows the child to feel the shape of the individual letter. When they trace the letters, they are learning the strokes and shape of the letter to prepare them for written language in the future. In addition, it’s a great sensory activity.
